Web design and development

Conversion-focused websites for local service businesses.

Built for HVAC, plumbing, and other local businesses where customers call first.

Tarkenil Studio designs and builds websites for trades whose customers reach for the phone when something breaks. The call comes first, trust claims appear only once they're confirmed, and every result shown here was measured on a live demo.

Services

What a project covers

  1. Call-first site design

A layout and design system made for the trade: the phone number where a stressed caller looks first, triage by problem, and a short form for people who aren't in an emergency.

  2. Static build and hosting

Hand-written HTML and CSS on Eleventy, hosted on Cloudflare Pages with strict security headers. Business details live in one config source, so a new phone number updates every page.

  3. WordPress when you want to edit

A classic WordPress theme with no page builder: business details, services and service areas edited in the admin, with the same headings and structure as the static site.

  4. Local SEO foundations

Service-area pages with distinct copy per city, titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, a sitemap and LocalBusiness, Service and FAQ schema, set up page by page. No ranking promises.

  5. Measured QA before launch

Lighthouse, axe accessibility checks, keyboard and reduced-motion passes, reported as numbers with a date and a source.

Reporting standard

Measured, not claimed

  1. Numbers come from the live site, with the tool, the date and how many runs.
  2. Concept projects are labelled as concept projects: on the page, in the image and in the link preview.
  3. Concept work claims no business outcomes: no traffic, lead or sales figures.
  4. Anything not yet tested is listed as not tested.
